Lower Elementary Ages 6-9
The Lower El program provides a strong academic continuum for the Montessori student. Students receive personalized instruction and assessment, and participate in selecting topics of study. The classroom is an interdisciplinary environment where science, language, social studies, math, creative writing, computer, Spanish, physical education, music and community service are integrated to educate the whole child.
Upper Elementary Ages 9-12
These years are marked by a synthesis of new intellectual and moral capacities and an emerging sense of identity. Undercroft’s Upper El program helps students integrate these forces through extensive independent research. The ability to collect, organize, interpret and report more sophisticated levels of knowledge provides a critical opportunity to achievement and self-expression.
