Hot Lunch Information
Catered by "Gourmet on the Go"
Good News! Undercroft students can now choose to have a hot meal delivered five days per week catered by “Gourmet on the Go”. This company operates out of the Bishop Kelley kitchen and is highly recommended by schools such as Riverfield, Holy Family and St. Pius. The caterer will be responsive to our children’s tastes. If a significant number of students do not like one of the choices, it will not be included on the menu the following month. The menus will not be identical from month to month.
"Gourmet on the Go” will provide meals that are peanut and tree-nut free. However, the kitchen where meals are prepared is not peanut and tree-nut free. Please note that this year’s menu has been adjusted to provide meals that are more age-appropriate for Primary and Lower Elementary students. The individual meals will be packed in recyclable containers rather than the typical Styrofoam.
Total cost of each month will be provided on that month’s order form. The month’s menu and order form will be posted here on our website.
They will also be sent home via kiddie mail at least 8 days prior to the upcoming month. Orders and payments will be due in the office by the last Wednesday of the month – no exceptions for the caterer’s sake. There can be no deductions for students’ missed school days.
Lunches can be purchased by:
**The entire month by check with optional participation for the upcoming month.
**The entire year with a check in advance.
**Credit cards will not be accepted since the school is not making any profit and credit card processing charges are expensive.
Checks should be made payable to Undercroft Montessori School or UMS and turned into the office. In the memo section of the check please be certain to list “lunch” and the name(s) of your child (ren).
